Inspired by an early 18th century Christmas pudding recipe, this mead is heavily spiced using a combination of cinnamon, ginger, cloves and mace. It’s name is derived from the anglo saxon word for Yule.
Géola MEAD
Our small batch fermentation process means we see small variations in ABV between batches. Our Gēola Mead ranges between 15% and 16.5% ABV.
Honey, Spring Water, Brewing Sugar (Glucose/Dextrose), Citrus (fresh orange and lemon juice and peel), Spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, mace, cloves, ginger), Sultanas, Green Tea, Yeast, Yeast Nutrient (Diammonium Phosphate, Magnesium Sulphate, Magnesium Carbonate, Albumin Nicotinamide, Aueurine Hydrochloride, Trace minerals, Trace Vitamins), Wine Stabiliser (Potassium Sorbate E202), Camden Tablets (Sodium Metabisulphite E223, Polethylene Glycol).
Whilst we no longer use Marmite Yeast Extract in our brewing process because it contains allergens, we do still hold very limited old stock where it was used. This applies to bottles with the batch number 180722.
Marmite Yeast Extract contains BARLEY, WHEAT, OATS, RYE, salt, vegetable juice concentrate, vitamins (thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B12 and folic acid), natural flavouring (contains CELERY).
