At Saxnōt Meadery we are absolutely committed to protecting your privacy.  We hate it when we provide our information to a company and end up being bombarded by emails and texts by all and sundry.  This policy sets out how we use any personal information you provide us with.

 

We collect and process the following information:

 

  • Your name

  • Your address

  • Your email address and telephone number

  • Payment Method (i.e. PayPal or Square)

  • Records of your orders

 

The personal information we process is provided to us directly by you.  

 

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are Contractual Obligation (e.g. to fulfil orders you have placed via our website) and Legitimate Interest (e.g. to provide you access to information about our products).

 

We will only share personal information as is strictly necessary:

 

  • Name, address, email and telephone details are shared with Royal Mail for the purposes of arranging an age-verified delivery service.

  • We may share information with Government Authorities and/or Law Enforcement Authorities if required to do so by law. 

 

Payments are processed on our behalf by PayPal and Square.  We do not see any financial information (card numbers, bank details).  

 

We do not send marketing information and we do not sell any personal information to third parties.

Your information is securely stored and held only for as long is deemed necessary in order to fulfil our obligations to you and to comply with any statutory or regulatory obligations.

  • Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. 

  • Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. 

  • Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances. 

  • Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. 

  • Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

  • You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
